Unique Theatre

629 S. Broadway/ Los Angeles

There was more than one "Unique" Theatre in Los Angeles, and many thanks to Bill Counter to finding the correct address for this one.

The "Unique" pictured above (from Bill's site, LA Movie Palaces)
opened in the late-1920’s and was in East LA. It was a large neighborhood house with a nice marquee, but not the theatre of our 1905 program.

The Spring Street and S. Broadway Uniques have interesting histories:

- Hentz & Zallee -

Reopening of Unique Theater in the building formerly occupied by Empire Theater.
